Dr. Poj Lysouvakon is the director of Safe Kids South Chicagoland. He is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Chicago Medicine and medical director of its Well Newborn Nursery. He also practices at the Friend Family Health Center, which serves nearby underserved communities. Dr. Lysouvakon’s primary research interests are newborn health and preventive medicine.
Matthew Louzon is the Safe Kids South Chicagoland coordinator. He also leads Comer Children’s efforts to educate parents and medical staff about car seat safety. Louzon conducts dozens of community events each year aimed at raising awareness around important child safety issues.
Stephanie Hair is a Licensed Social Worker at the University of Chicago Medicine’s Well Newborn Nursery and Women’s Care Center. She specializes in providing psychosocial support to families throughout the pregnancy and postpartum period in order to maximize parent-child well-being in early childhood. Stephanie is passionate about connecting parents with local community resources and programs.
