We invite you to support the Child Life and Family Education program by donating items or by making a financial contribution to support the programs, services, and supplies that will brighten the children’s stay. Your support will ensure that play is a source of hope and healing for our patients and families.

Visit our Amazon wish lists to choose from a selection of toys, books and other gift items appropriate for patients at Comer Children's. Items purchased from this list will ship directly to the hospital.

When donating, we ask that all items adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Brand new (original tags/packaging still on all items)
  • Non-violent (no toys with weapons, such as guns or knives)
  • Durable, and plastic
  • Non-denominational
  • Non-toxic
  • Non-edible (no food, please)
  • No gift wrapping as we need to see all items before they are distributed.

Due to safety and infection control guidelines, we are unable to accept:

  • Fabric or handmade items
  • Anything with Latex
  • Small rubber balls
  • Magnetic toys
  • Foam toys/puzzles
  • Anything breakable (i.e., ceramic, glass)
  • Candles

Due to infection control and confidentiality guidelines, donors are not allowed to distribute gifts to patients. Our Child Life team will make certain that all items are distributed appropriately to the patients and families in need.

Monetary donations are welcome and very beneficial to support programming needs. Checks can be made out to Comer Children’s Hospital Child Life and mailed to:
