Directions by Car from the West

Due to construction in the area, please follow the directions provided on this website, and add at least 20 minutes to your travel time.

Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) to Dan Ryan Expressway

1. Take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) east to the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/I-94) east.
2. Continue southbound on the Dan Ryan.
3. Exit at 55th Street, also called Garfield Boulevard (exit 57B).
4. Turn left (east) onto Garfield Boulevard and continue through Washington Park, following the blue hospital signs.
5. Continue with directions specific to your location:

• To Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago, 5721 S. Maryland Avenue
• Turn left on 57th Street and drive east for three blocks.
• Turn right on Drexel Avenue.
• Turn right onto 58th Street.
• Turn right on Maryland Avenue and proceed north to the Comer Children's Hospital main entrance.
• Valet parking is encouraged and available at the curbside in front of the Comer Children’s Hospital main entrance.

• Turn left on 57th Street and drive east for three blocks.
• Turn right on Drexel Avenue.
• Turn right onto 58th Street.
• Turn right on Maryland Avenue and proceed north to the Comer Children's Hospital main entrance.
• Valet parking is encouraged and available at the curbside in front of the Comer Children’s Hospital main entrance.
• Take the dedicated elevators, located off of the main lobby, to the Center for Specialty Care, located on the 4th floor.

• To the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine (DCAM), 5758 S. Maryland Avenue
• Turn left on 57th Street and drive east for three blocks.
• Turn right on Drexel Avenue.
• Turn right onto 58th Street.
• Turn right onto Maryland Avenue.
• The DCAM entry drive is on the left.
• Valet parking is encouraged and available at the curbside in front of the DCAM main entrance.
• The pediatric clinics are located in DCAM 3E.

Stevenson Expressway (I-55) to Dan Ryan Expressway

1. Take the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) east to the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/I-94) east.
2. Continue southbound on the Dan Ryan.
3. Exit at 55th Street, also called Garfield Boulevard (exit 57B).
4. Turn left (east) onto Garfield Boulevard and continue through Washington Park, following the blue hospital signs.

Parking

We encourage patients and visitors to use our valet parking service. It’s convenient and usually less expensive than self-parking.

To ensure traffic moves smoothly, please do not enter campus at 58th Street and Cottage Grove Avenue. Please only use 58th Street for exiting the medical campus.

Valet Parking

Valet parking is available in front of the Comer Children's Hospital main entrance and the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine (DCAM). Remember to ask clinic staff for a parking validation sticker.

Self-Parking

If you choose to self-park, please add at least 30 minutes to your travel time to allow for traffic in the garage. Valet is the recommended parking option.

To self-park at the main hospital parking garage, continue to 59th Street and turn north on Maryland Avenue. The garage entrance is located on the left side of the street. Hourly rates apply. Please ask clinic staff for a parking validation sticker.
