Our Team
All of our patients and their families are followed by an expert team of clinicians, which includes:
- A child and adolescent psychiatrist
- A child and adolescent psychologist
- Social workers specially trained to care for children
- Residents and fellows who are studying child and adolescent psychiatry
All of our team members work very closely together--and with a child's parents--to provide a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan.
But, whenever possible, we try to arrange for children to receive necessary therapies and treatment in their own communities. Our clinicians work closely with a child's family, schools, pediatrician, and various community agencies to ensure that children can get care as close to home as possible.
Some children and adolescents who have neurologically-based problems may also require the expertise of a pediatric neurologist. Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago is home to some of the most respected pediatric neurologists and pediatric neurosurgeons in the Chicago area. Our child psychiatrists often work side-by-side with University of Chicago pediatric neurologists to address a wide range of problems that affect learning and behavior.
