Jimmy Mohan
"Hi…I’m Jimmy Mohan and I’m 8 years old. When I was 4, I had cancer. I had lots of surgeries, chemo, radiation, X-rays, shots, and lots of fresh blood. I came to the hospital a lot. I still come for my check-ups.
I was a little scared to be in the hospital in the beginning, but I’m not anymore. They always told me what they were going to do and why. The doctors and nurses are great.
Being in the hospital is not all that bad. If you just got done with something hard and tiring, like surgery, you can go to your room and watch TV and no one tells you to turn it off!
I always thought the Children’s Hospital was good, but now the new Comer Children’s Hospital is even better for the kids. I like the ball machine the most. My family and I had a few fundraisers for the hospital and cancer research. I hope researchers find a cure for cancer quicker.
I’m glad other people care enough to help kids. Thanks."
