The Skybridge

On Saturday, February 19, 2005 patients moved across this skybridge from the old children's hospital to the new University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital at 5721 S. Maryland Avenue. After months of planning and two practice runs, each child was moved in his or her bed. The beds were made into "floats" for this special parade.
