University of Chicago Aeromedical Network (UCAN): UCAN is the air medical service of the hospital. UCAN provides helicopter transport of critically ill or injured neonatal, and pediatric patients from the scene of an emergency or during interhospital transfer to Comer Children's Hospital. Continuing Medical Education: At the University of Chicago, our physicians are excited about sharing the latest clinical and research findings with you through continuing medical education (CME).

Throughout the year, our physicians conduct CME courses conveniently scheduled at hotels along the "Magnificent Mile" in Chicago, in surrounding suburbs, at the University of Chicago Medical Center, and at resort locations. You can learn about the most recent clinical advances happening here and in other leading centers around the world. The courses highlight innovative procedures and technologies, examine current controversies in treatment, and update you on the latest advances in the understanding and treatment of disease.

Grand Rounds: Open to any physician who wants to attend, Grand Rounds are held weekly in most departments. Cases are presented by University of Chicago faculty or by prominent visiting physicians.

Child Life Internships: Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago offers internships to graduate students working toward a master's in child life, child development, art therapy, or related fields.

Managed Care: Comer Children's Hospital has developed relationships with many managed care organizations and is committed to delivering high quality, cost-effective services to enrollees.
