He is highly skilled in the assessment of complex congenital heart conditions in children and adults. He also has expertise in the evaluation and management of Marfan syndrome and congestive heart failure. Dr. Varga has particular clinical interests in the use of specialized, non-invasive imaging techniques--including 3-D echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography (CT) scanning and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)--in the evaluation of pediatric heart diseases. Offering an interactive, patient-focused teaching approach, Dr. Varga serves as an educational mentor to medical students, residents and fellows. His research interests include improved methods for the use of advanced imaging techniques, including 4-D echocardiography, in pediatric heart care.
