Director, Pediatric Trauma

Mindy Statter, MD is an expert in neonatal surgery, pediatric surgery, and minimally invasive surgical techniques for younger patients. In addition to her surgical expertise, Dr. Statter is the director of the pediatric trauma program at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital.

She has edited a book on pediatric trauma and written several book chapters on pediatric surgery. Dr. Statter is also an advocate for child safety and  injury prevention. Additionally, she is a surgical ethics fellow at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago.
