Michael Morowitz MD

Assistant Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics

Dr. Michael Morowitz is a general and thoracic pediatric surgeon with interests in neonatology, surgical oncology, inflammatory bowel disease, and trauma. He specializes in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques for a wide range of conditions, including anorectal malformations, Hirschsprung’s Disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and pectus excavatum.

Dr. Morowitz's laboratory studies necrotizing enterocolitis--an intestinal disorder in premature infants. His ongoing research focuses on both prevention and treatment of this debilitating condition.
