Dr. Ewa Schorr sees infants, children, and teens with all types of neurological diseases. She has extensive expertise in the following:

• Epilepsy
• Age-specific, complicated seizure disorders
• Neuromuscular diseases
• Neuroimmune diseases
• Childhood multiple sclerosis
• Inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy

Dr. Schorr co-directs the Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic. Her goal is to provide up-to-date diagnostic evaluation and treatment for myasthenia gravis, muscular dystrophy, and other myopathies.

Dr. Schorr's major research interest is the effect of the sympathetic nervous system on immune responses and on experimental autoimmune diseases, such as experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE), experimental allergic neuritis (EAN), and experimental allergic myasthenia gravis (EAMG). Dr. Schorr studied the effect of treatment with beta-adrenergic agonists on EAE, EAN, EAMG, myasthenia gravis, and multiple sclerosis. Dr. Schorr has also studied the effects of the immunosuppressive drugs in experimental allergic encephalomyelitis.
