A specialist in pediatric nephrology and pediatric critical care, Dr. Christopher Clardy has received numerous awards, including "Top Doctor in the Chicago Metro Area" by Castle Connolly Guide and "Best Physician in America" by American Health Magazine.

Dr. Clardy and his colleagues treat all types of renal and genitourinary problems, including the following:

• Congenital malformations of the kidney and bladder
• Nephrotic syndrome (glomerulosclerosis)
• Glomerulonephritis (lupus and IgA nephropathy)
• Urinary tract infections
• Enuresis
• Hypertension
• Electrolyte imbalances (renal tubular acidosis, Bartter's syndrome, and hypophosphatemic rickets)

Dr. Clardy takes care of children with acute and chronic renal failure who are on hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. He also works closely with transplant surgery to care for children who require kidney transplantation.
