Hospitality Coordinator Service for Surgery Patients and Families
Many of our guests travel long distances to have surgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center. To meet the special needs of our surgery patients who come from more than 30 miles away, we offer the Hospitality Coordinator Service. This free service is available from the moment you contact the Medical Center through the end of your hospital stay.
Meet Our Hospitality Coordinator
Our hospitality coordinator, Frederica Ehimen, can assist you with travel preparations, information about local amenities and other support services for families.
Frederica is available to answer questions and help with logistical issues that may arise. She can also provide information on a variety of helpful topics, including:
- Banks
- Community resources
- Grocery stores
- Houses of worship
- Local businesses
- Lodging
- Maps and directions
- Restaurants
- Shopping, recreation and entertainment
- Transportation
